CAADP has worked to draft and pass CT Special Act 05-07 and the 2005 Connecticut Climate Change Action Plan. CAADP advocated cleaning up high exposure public fleets, such as transit buses, school buses and equipment used in large state construction projects, and developing an in-state funding stream to support diesel mitigation.

CAADP works with stakeholders to implement CT Public Act No. 074, which commited $10 million over a two-year period to purchase and install pollution control devices on all of the school buses suitable for retrofitting in the state (approximately 3,400).

The CAADP is part of ENE's New England Diesel Initiative
