CT Public Act No. 07-4 Factsheet Policy Action
This resource has a file attached to it.
In June 2007 the Connecticut General Assembly voted to commit $10 million over a two-year period to purchase and install pollution control devices on approximately 3,400 school buses in the state. This will cover all of the school buses that are suitable for retrofitting and will reduce exposure to diesel for one of the state’s most vulnerable populations. Originally appearing as SB 1032, An Act Reducing Diesel Emissions in School Bus Cabins, the legislation’s operative provisions were ultimately incorporated into the budget implementer, Public Act No. 074.
